Cookies and Privacy Policy

You will not be able to buy from this site unless you agree to cookies because cookies make the shopping basket and the checkout work.

Cookies are small text files that web servers send to a computer, and are used by nearly all websites. Typically they contain the name of the website and a unique identifier. When you request a page from the server, your browser sends the cookie back to the server.

We use cookies so that we can give you the best possible experience when browsing and and to make the shopping experience work. If for some reason you wish to remove cookies, you can clear them from your browser at any time. Depending on the browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc) this may be accessed from the tools, settings, or preferences tabs.

If you have a problem adding products to your basket, check that cookies are enabled.

This site is run on a content delivery network, Cloudflare, which sets a cookie. The cookie is used to identify individual clients behind a shared IP address. And it applies security settings on a per-client basis. It does not correspond to any user ID in the web application and does not store any personally identifiable information.

We also use analytics cookies to track visitor information to help us measure the performance of features on this site and plan for the future. Analytics give us anonymised information about, for example, how many people visit our website and which browsers they use. It also tells us which pages are most popular, and whether the visitors are on laptops or a phones.

We use cookie consent, which means that until such time that you agree cookies, the only cookie that we places is the CookieYes cookie. This is set to remember users’ consent preferences so that their preferences are respected on subsequent visits to this site. It does not collect or store any personal information about the site visitors.

If you want to buy from this site, you must agree to cookies. The reason for this is that cookies tell the system, for example, which items have been added to the basket. Without this kind of information, the system that enables customers to buy from this site simply wouldn’t work.

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data. These include the right to request access to your personal data, request correction of your personal data, request erasure of your personal data, object to processing of your personal data, request restriction of processing your personal data, request transfer of your personal data, or withdraw consent.

If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please email us at [email protected].

Such requests do not incur a fee but we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

If you have concerns over any aspect of how we collect and use your data, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues. However, please contact us first if you do have a complaint so that we can try to resolve any issues for you.

We will not disclose your details to any third party without your prior consent, unless we have to comply with laws or legal proceedings, or to protect the rights, property, or the safety of ourselves or others, including disclosure in connection with fraud protection and credit risk reduction or in connection with the sale of the business or assets or purchases of another business.

We will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes or otherwise, and we only use your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
